Kath is an experienced, Accredited Mental Health Social Worker, EMDR therapist, and the Director of Hunter Clinical Services, bringing over 14 years of expertise in supporting individuals through their mental health challenges. She offers a range of evidence-based therapies, including Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Eating Disorders (CBT-E), and Interpersonal Therapy (IPT). Kath is committed to providing unique and individualised treatment plans for each person, ensuring that every client receives personalised care tailored to their specific needs.
Kath specialises in working with adults and adolescents over the age of 16, helping them navigate challenges such as trauma recovery, eating disorders, anxiety, depression, life-limiting illnesses, relationship issues, and complex life transitions. She is dedicated to supporting individuals in embracing their authentic selves and overcoming life’s challenges, creating a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can explore their experiences and work toward improved well-being. Kath values collaborative care and works closely with other health professionals, families, and support systems to provide comprehensive and effective treatment for her clients.

Lauryn (she/her) is deeply committed to helping individuals build a positive relationship with food, particularly within the mental health space. With experience in addressing eating disorders, disordered eating, poor body image, and mental health challenges, Lauryn provides compassionate and inclusive care, always prioritising neuroaffirming practices. Her experience also includes paediatrics and NDIS, where she has developed a specialty in managing picky eating and Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID) across all ages. Known for her warm and friendly approach, Lauryn is dedicated to supporting clients and their families in rediscovering joy and freedom with their food. Lauryn offers the following services:
Kristen is an experienced Accredited Mental Health Social Worker specialising in individual psychological counselling. Kristen specialises in stress, depression, anxiety, burnout, grief and trauma. Kristen also offers practical skill building support including facilitating decision making conversations, boundary setting, communication skills, relationship skills, and emotional regulation.
Kristen started her journey when she graduated from The University of Sydney in 2003 with a Bachelor of Social Work. Kristen quickly discovered her passion for connecting through conversation when she specialised in family counselling and therapeutic group work programs. 20 years on, many therapeutic conversations later, and continual additional training in evidenced based therapeutic models, it is connecting with people that still drives her.
From early on in her career Kristen has provided therapeutic counselling for people navigating life transitions and grief and loss, including diagnosis for degenerative and neurological conditions such as dementia, Parkinson’s Disease, MND, eye diseases including sudden sight loss. Kristen has worked for Dementia Australia, The Royal Society for the Blind and Guide Dogs NSW/ACT.
Kristen has many years experience working in Employee Assistance Programs, which has honed her ability to facilitate conversations that help with mental clarity, emotional resilience and mindset. Through this work, Kristen also has the privilege of supporting clients through life circumstances and transitions including relationship breakdowns, loss of a loved one, workplace stress, redundancy, workplace bullying, parenting, and carer stress.
